What I don't understand is why Squared 5 put effort and time into building a custom installer for Lion, rather than change MPEG StreamClip to use the newer direct support. MPEG StreamClip is also a free video converter.
There is currently no word on whether this customer installer is still compatible with Mavericks., but that would be my first pot of call for trying to get it to work.
